Redheaded Robbie’s Christmas Story

30 Aug

Easy Street Theaters’ student production is scheduled for November 12, 13, and 14 at Kankakee Junior High School. Rehearsals begin Tuesday, Oct. 5th from 5 – 7 p.m. at MBVM. “Redheaded Robbies Christmas Story” is a fun musical about a student who is chosen by his/her teacher to tell a Christmas story at their holiday concert. But, that’s not so easy for Redheaded Robbie. All prospective actors and/or acting buddies must contact us before the first rehearsal. Please send an email to easystreettheater@yahoo.com or send a letter to Easy Street Theater, 140 Mansfield Court, Chebanse, Illinois 60922
Our student’s productions are for actors in grades 4-12. We will have small, non-speaking parts for younger actors for this show.
Our actors with disabilities include down-syndrome, traumatic brain injury, cerebral palsy, delayed cognitive abilities, etc. Disabilities that DO NOT qualify for our theater are ADD, ADHD, and BD.
EST is also looking for acting buddies for our actors. We prefer buddies that are in Junior High or High School. Please send an email or letter before our first rehearsal.
We’re all looking forward to a great student show. Hope you can be a part of it.

2009-2010 Season

27 Jul

Easy Street Theater had a great ’09-’10 season.  In November we presented our student production called ”What’s Eating Tom”.  It was a great beginning to the holiday season.  Our Easy Street adults entertained us with an exciting and fun Christmas program that we took on the road during the Christmas party season.   We ended the season with our adult production of “High Noonish“.  Westerns will never be the same again.  New actors and acting buddies joined our theater family during both shows.  Looking back  on the past year leaves me with wonderful memories and great expectations for the upcoming year.
